The 23rd Annual Compton Veterans Stand Down is a three-day overnight event connecting veterans with services, resources and support from veteran-serving organizations and community partners.
Veterans can access a variety of services throughout the event, including:
- Employment and housing assistance
- Legal assistance
- VA and Social Security benefits support
- Medical and vision exams
- Mental health counseling
- Chiropractic care and acupuncture
- Massage therapy
- Clothing and hygiene kits
- Showers and haircuts
- Hot meals
- Workshops and additional resources

The event is presented by the Compton Chamber of Commerce with participation from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Peer Access Network (VPAN) and other community partners.
