The Veterans Advisory Commission guides and supports the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on veteran issues. This commission is crucial for stakeholder and public engagement in serving veterans, service members, their families, and survivors.

Commission Structure &
Meeting Details
- Each County Supervisor appoints two Commissioners per district (U.S. Military veterans) for two-year terms and meets once a month.
- Meetings will take place on 3rd Wednesday of each month at 1:30 pm.
- The meetings are held in-person at Bob Hope Patriotic Hall, 1816 S Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90015.
- Meetings are also streamed virtually.
Public comment details
- The Commission welcomes public comments, typically reserving 30 minutes per agenda with a three-minute limit per speaker. Check the meeting agenda for any changes.
- Advanced public comment registration instructions are included in each meeting notice, distributed via the Department’s email marketing provider at least 72 hours before the meeting.
- In-person public comment registration is available on the meeting day, but may be limited based on the number of speakers who registered in advance.
