Veterans, service members, military families, and community members are invited to attend the opening reception for Duty, Honor, Country, Courage: Honoring Asian Americans in Military Service, a multimedia exhibition commemorating the nation’s 250th anniversary.

Curated by Montgomery Hom of the Chinese American G.I. Project and local veteran Peter Chow, the exhibition highlights the military service and sacrifices of Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese Americans. Featuring rare military artifacts spanning from the Civil War to modern conflicts, the exhibit offers visitors an opportunity to explore the stories and contributions of Asian Americans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

The opening reception includes light refreshments, opening remarks, a panel discussion featuring Asian American veterans, and an opportunity to explore the exhibit and speak with the curator. The exhibition will remain on display in the library lobby through July 31, 2026.
