Ms. Alamillo-Gadut is a Marine Corps veteran and a seasoned Los Angeles County leader having served over 20 years with the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) with a lengthy service in the military veteran non-profit organization space. She brings extensive knowledge and experience in public assistance programs, policies, and benefits.

 

Ms. Alamillo-Gadut started her county career as a benefits eligibility worker and later promoted to supervisor, where she oversaw the Telework Pilot Project and assisted with the development of the project’s business controls and processes. This led to her promotion to Program Assistant for the Customer Service Center Operations Team. Ms. Alamillo-Gadut was later promoted to Human Services Administrator Manager for the program policy sections of Medi-Cal and CalWORKs where she was the primary departmental liaison for all Medi-Cal related inquiries as well as the liaison for Covered California (CoCA). In these roles she worked with representatives from the CoCa Escalation Unit to address access to care issues and served as the lead analyst collaborating with various counties, departments, and advocate agencies to implement new Medi-Cal Programs, such as Whole Person Care and the Compassionate Release and Medical Probation Programs. In addition, she was assigned to be the Special Assistant for the Deputy Director of the Bureau of Special Operations Administration.

 

Ms. Alamillo-Gadut is currently an active member of the Women Marine Association and the American Legion Star Post #309, where she holds the post position of Past 2nd Vice Commander, Past 3rd Vice Commander, and Auxiliary Charter member.

 

 

Ms. Alamillo-Gadut’s proven leadership and extensive experience with public assistance programs are an asset to the Veteran Services Division. I am confident that under her direction and leadership, the Department will continue to meet its goals and mission to serve homeless veterans and their families.
