Nareh Alexani brings a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to addressing housing and homelessness issues. With 15 years of experience in the public sector, her career has been marked by a focus on housing and homelessness initiatives.



 Ms. Nareh Alexani most recently served as the Associate Director at the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) Permanent Housing Department, where she led the Time Limited Subsidy and Housing Navigation Programs.



 In this role, she was instrumental in managing federally funded programs and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance homelessness solutions in the Los Angeles area. She also developed and oversaw the transition of the various housing programs into the larger framework of Time Limited Subsidies, the transition to facilitating SPA-wide case conference calls, and creating budget requests for local, state, and federal funding applications.

 

Ms. Alexani’s career also includes experience in developing and implementing diverse housing programs, managing contracts from creation to execution, and monitoring service providers on both programmatic and fiscal levels. Her work has consistently focused on refining programs to better meet the evolving needs of the housing market.

 

In her new role as Supervisor of Veterans Claims with the Los Angeles County Department of Military & Veterans Affairs, Ms. Alexani will oversee the newly established Homeless Services Division, focusing on improving access to resources for veterans and military family members. 



She possesses a Master of Public Administration Degree from California State University, Northridge. Her extensive background in housing and homelessness, coupled with her proven leadership, positions her well to drive impactful changes within the department.
