Commission Meetings
The Veterans Advisory Commission provides guidance and support to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on veteran issues. The Commission is a key component of the County’s overall strategy to achieve stakeholder and public engagement in our efforts and commitment to serve veterans, their families, and survivors. Each County Supervisor appoints two Commissioners per district (U.S. Military veterans) for two-year terms and meets once a month.
The Veterans Advisory Commission meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 1:30 pm. Meetings are held in-person at Bob Hope Patriotic Hall (1816 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90015) and streamed virtually.
The Commission welcomes comments from all members of the public. Each agenda typically reserves 30 minutes for public comment with a time limit of three minutes per speaker. Please refer to each meeting agenda for potential changes.
Instructions for advanced public comment registration are included in each notice of meeting. Notices are distributed through the Department’s email marketing provider at least 72 hours prior to meeting. In-person public comment registration is available on the day of meeting but may be subject to limitations based on the quantity of speakers who registered in advance.
